Internship Program - Preparing for Success

The Winvale Internship program is a hands-on program designed to provide undergraduate students the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the government contracting and consulting industry. Winvale hosts interns in our Washington D.C. headquarters during the regular academic terms and summer. We offer a wide array of internships in the following areas:

Contracts Billing Administrator

Due to the growth in our business with the government, Winvale seeks a Contracts Billing Administrator to support the government sales and accounting team. Winvale is a leading government contracts consultancy and contractor, delivering a unique combination of services and solutions to companies and government agencies. The Contracts Billing Administrator will work with Winvale’s government clients and commercial partners to administer short and long-term contracts, cost tracking, collections, and payments. This person, along with the Accounting Team, will help manage ongoing projects, ensure subcontractors are performing as required and deliverables are met in accordance with purchase/task orders.

The ideal candidate will have experience with government contracts. This individual must understand general accounting practices and be familiar with government procurement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic business environment and being a team player;
  • Can-do attitude and comfort completing administrative work;
  • At least five years’ experience with accounting and government contracts;
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and GAAP;
  • Working knowledge of multiple government invoicing web portals such as WAWF.
  • Experience with all contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF) and the FAR; and
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills;
  • Strong organizational skills; and
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
